Calypso is back once again holding his vehicle combat tournament known as Twisted Metal.  Contestants are selected from all over the world for this tournament all battling for the same prize, one wish granted by Calypso. Fuel up your vehicle's lock and load your guns its time for Twisted Metal.

The game it self has Single player story mode, as well as an online multiplayer.

Single player is Calypso's tournament, you can do this alone or embark on this mad quest with a friend in Co-op. You will be led by Sweet Tooth who will let nothing stop him from getting that wish. As the quest unfolds for the title Champion of Twisted Metal you will unfold the story of sick cast of characters.

Multiplayer you can take your battle online, and cause mass mayhem against other people from around the world.  Customize your vehicle in Sweet Tooth's custom shop, with hundreds of custom items, you can use to create your own slaughter machine to take online. Not a whole bunch of map's for online but the one's it does have are huge and fun and give you countless hours of fun.

Twisted Metal is the longest running game series in Playstation history first being released back in 1995. I my self have not played this game yet. But from what i have read about it the story is not what everyone expected, but the online game play is amazingly fun. So as i always say don't let someone else's opinion make you buy or not buy a game. Rent it if all else fails.  If you have never played any Twisted Metal game's this is a good place to start.

Characters:

The Brothers Grimm:
A boss you will have to face while doing Sweet Tooth's campaign story mode. Mr Grimm is one of the brothers

Calypso:
The man behind Twisted Metal, if you win the tournament he will grant you one wish.

DollFace:
An ex model, who wears a mask to cover up her injury's. Wants to win the wish to get what her heart desires.

Mr. Grimm:
One of the two Grimm brothers, wears a skull mask and rides a motorbike.

Sweet Tooth:
Has been in every Twisted Metal game, and has always been on the cover. My personal favorite.

Preacher:
Someone who does not like Calypso or who tournament.

There are no vehicle restrictions in the game, which means any character can drive any vehicle they want, Also they can customize the vehicle how they want with some options.

Vehicles

Axel:
Unlockable vehicle in the game, may be apart of the DLC.

Crimson Fury:
a sports car equip'd with flamethrowers, Incendiary, and Shock-wave's.

Darkside:
A Big truck with a ram as its primary weapon.

Death warrant:
Comes with chain guns and rockets:

Juggernaut:
Two allies can ride this vehicle together with mounted turrets. Speed is a issue with this vehicle.

Junkyard Dog:
a smaller truck with decent armor, bad selection for weapons and speed.

Kamikaze:
Japenese themed car with, EMP shock-wave, and flamethrowers.

Meat Wagon:
Has all mounted bombing Weapons

Outlaw:
Can have mounted Turrets, Blood missiles, and grenade launcher.

Reaper:
Mr Grimm's vehicle, has a mounted chainsaw.

Roadboat:
mounted magnetic weapons.

Roadkill:
Can have mounted chain-gun, and drops mines

Shadow:
Is able to use Death coffins as a weapon.

Sweet Tooth:
One of the better vehicles in the game, make sure to check it out.

Talon:
First ever chopper vehicle in the game, mounted weapons can cause max damage.

Vermin:
Has a rocket launcher that shoots Rats, not very good but armor is decent

Warthog:
Don't mind going slower then everyone else but love destruction? then warthog is the vehicle for you.
