MW3 DLC Annnouced

Infinity Ward revealed today that the first MW3 DLC will be released on January the 24th, 2012.

As IW previously said, the DLC will be available for Founders/Premium members of CoD:ELITE first, and the rest of us will get it afterwards. Like with most Activision DLC's, XBOX360 will get it first - about a month before PSN and PC users get it.

IW's creative strategist, Robert Bowling, said the following earlier in the year: The way we're doing downloadable content this year is unlike we've never done before. Not only in how you can get it - in content drops or choose for the collection - but also the type of content you're getting. We're doing more than just maps. We're going to do Spec Ops missions and a variety of things that players have never seen before." There hasn't been any information about if they will be shipping old maps from MW1 and MW2 yet, but they usually do so I doubt that this time will be different.

There's no news about what the DLC will contain nor its price for people who don't have CoD: ELITE, but more info will most likely be released soon.

I have a lot of hope in the first DLC, seeing as IW did an amazing job with the maps that were shipped with the disc.
