Battalion League
As asked, this is an article where I’m going to explain in detail how the Battalion League is going to work. It is the first competition of its kind in RGC, and I don’t doubt that it will live up to the same high standards of the rest of the events that are hosted. However, this one is on a much larger scale, with all the Battalions battling for the crown of the tournament, and the bragging rights that come with this.
The rules are simple! If it’s in the game then you can use it, as your team of six fights for victory. There are no restrictions on what guns, or perks you use. Each team will consist of six players, and four subs, and please note that each team can transfer people into their squad for others only three times in the whole competition. Only under special circumstances will teams be given extra transfers.
You will face four different game modes:
-Capture the Flag
-Search and Destroy
-Kill Confirmed
-Domination
These game modes will take place on the following maps:
-Seatown
-Dome
-Arkaden
-Bootleg
-Carbon
-Hardhat
-Lockdown
-Underground
Let’s get onto the thing that you all care about though, how do you win the Battalion League do I hear you ask? Each team will play all the others and will gain a bye for one week. This is now where the conferences come in; the top three teams in the ARConference and the NRConference will then progress to the playoffs. The top team automatically gains a place in the Championship Game, but the teams placed in second and third will have to fight for their place in their conferences’ Championship Game. The Champions will then go on to face each other in the final, winner takes everything game!
Each game will be will be overseen by a referee, and stats will be taken down to find the MVPs of each game/week, and leader boards will be created to show the best players in different areas of the game. Also, the Machinima Team will go through videos of each game to find the best clips of the week, however please note that not all games will be put up in full.
Using this information gathered, an Allstar Team will be formed at the end of the tournament to face a Leadership Team in the ultimate battle! This is not to be missed, and I’m guessing it will be posted up on the site for viewing afterwards!
I suppose we better finish on the prices, I know you all want your hands on them! The winning team will receive an award and a customised signature for each team member, with another award and sig available to the Battalion that team represents. The top price that you can aspire to achieve is the title of Season MVP, which comes with a bucket load of MS Points, a unique award, and your very signature.
More details, such as which conference each Battalion is in, the schedule of your matches, or just the rules can be found in the Battalion League Subforum, in the Event Staff Forum. And, ask through this forum any questions that are on your mind, instead of bombarding individual Event Staff with messages.
